Found a secret cave under Hogwarts
Chapter 1
I was never one to follow the rules.
So when I saw a moving staircase, I had to see where it led.
I was in the middle of my fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and I’d never seen anything like it before.
I’d been walking back to my dormitory after a long night of studying with my friends James and Lily, when I saw the staircase move.
It was late, and I knew I should be in bed, but my curiosity got the best of me.
I had to see where it went.
The staircase moved slowly, so I was able to slip under it before it closed completely.
Once I was on the other side, I found myself in a small room with no windows and only one door.
I tried to open the door, but it was locked tight.
My heart pounded as I examined the locked door.
I whispered a spell, "Alohomora," but it didn't budge.
Footsteps echoed behind me, and I turned to see James and Lily had followed.
"What are you doing?" Lily hissed, her eyes wide with worry.
I ignored her, my eyes fixed on the door.
James stepped forward, wand in hand.
"Let me try," he said, his voice steady.
He muttered a spell under his breath, and the door creaked open slowly.
We exchanged nervous glances before stepping into the dark tunnel beyond.
Our wands lit up the narrow passageway, casting long shadows on the damp stone walls.
The air grew colder as we ventured deeper, our breaths visible in the dim light.
"Emily, are you sure about this?" James asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"No," I admitted, "but we can't turn back now."
Suddenly, a low growl echoed through the tunnel.
My breath caught in my throat as I saw a pair of glowing eyes appear in the darkness ahead.
"Run!" James yelled, but it was too late.
The creature lunged at us, its massive form blocking our path.
Lily screamed and stumbled backward, her wand slipping from her grasp.
I raised my wand, trying to remember a defensive spell.
"Protego!" I shouted, but the shield barely held against the creature's powerful claws.
James grabbed Lily's arm and pulled her to her feet.
"We have to get out of here!" he shouted over the creature's snarls.
I nodded, my heart racing as we turned and ran back down the tunnel.
The creature's growls grew louder behind us, its footsteps shaking the ground.
We reached the door and slammed it shut behind us, leaning against it to catch our breath.
"What was that thing?" Lily gasped, her face pale with fear.
"I don't know," I said, my mind racing. "But we need to find another way out."
James nodded, his eyes scanning the small room for any other exits.
"There has to be something," he muttered.
I spotted a faint outline of another door hidden in the shadows.
"There!" I pointed, rushing over to it.
James and Lily followed, their wands lighting up the hidden door.
I tried the handle, but it was locked tight as well.
"Stand back," James said, raising his wand again. "Alohomora!"
The door creaked open slowly, revealing another dark passageway.
We stepped inside cautiously, our wands illuminating the path ahead.
The air was even colder here, and I shivered as we moved forward.
"Stay close," I whispered, my voice trembling slightly.
We walked in silence for what felt like hours until we heard another growl echoing through the tunnel.
My heart raced as I realized there might be more than one creature down here.
"We need to find a way out," James said urgently. "Now."
Suddenly, a loud crash echoed behind us.
We spun around to see the first creature had broken through the door and was charging towards us again.
